Answers to frequently asked questions

1What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2 PM to 10 PM, and check-out is from 7 AM to 11 AM. If you will be arriving before check-in and really need to get into the room, we suggest that you also book the night before your stay. Similarly, if you would like a late departure, booking an additional night will guarantee you access to the room until you are ready to leave.
We are happy to store your luggage for free at both departure and arrival, if the room is not available.
If you have not booked any additional nights as described above, early check-in and late check-out will be granted according to last-minute availability, for an additional fee of 50% of the room price. All services end at check-out.
2When are meals served?
Our à-la-carte breakfast is served in the restaurant from 7:30 to 10:00, and includes cakes, biscuits, bread and homemade flatbreads. Outside of these hours, you can have breakfast in our lounge bar with cappuccino and croissants.
The restaurant is typically open for lunch from 12.30 to 14.00; from 1 June to 15 September, an extensive buffet is provided. At other times, you can have lunch in our restaurant, Il Saporoso, with a delicious tasting menu.
The restaurant is typically open for dinner from 19.30 to 21.00, with à la carte and tasting menus created by our chef.
3What are the reception hours?
Reception is open every day, from 7:00 to midnight.
4I am a Celiac: how do you cater to my needs?
Our chefs offer gluten-free dishes for those suffering from allergies and intolerances (for a surcharge). Please inform us in advance. We are available to prepare the right foods, according to your needs.
5I have a 4-legged friend, can I bring them?
Of course, we are animal lovers! They are always welcome. Just follow a few simple rules: pets are allowed in the rooms and in the lobby, but they cannot be near the buffet or in other areas where food is present. All rooms that hosted one or more animals are specially cleaned after departure, to ensure maximum hygiene.
For any damage to persons or property, responsibility lies with the animal's owner. The number of your furry friends is limited, to ensure all guests have a pleasant stay.
Please keep dogs on a leash.
6Do you have wheelchair accessible rooms?
Smart Hotel Mediterraneo has two SMART rooms equipped for disabled guests, with handles, special shower heads and purpose-built showers. The entire hotel and all its services are wheelchair accessible. In terms of special needs, a customer site visit is recommended.
7Where can I park the car?
We have a small private carpark, and there is a nearby carpark about 50 metres from our hotel. The cost of the service is of 7 euro for both covered and uncovered parking spots.
8Is the beach service included?
This service is not included, the cost 16 euro per day. The beach is 200 meters from the hotel and offers 30% more space for every spot. Furthermore, everything is sanitized and there is a daily towel to insulate the bed.
9Is there a laundry service?
In the closet in your room you will find a white bag for your laundry. Put any clothes that you would like laundered into the bag, and write your room number and the requested service (ironing or washing) on the outside of the bag. For information and prices, please ask at reception.
10Can I get beach towels?
This service is included with some rooms. For other accommodation types, towels are available for an extra charge (€5.00 plus €10.00 deposit). If you want a change of linen, reception will deliver clean sheets cleaned at a cost of €5.00 each.
11Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes. You can connect to our Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The service is available throughout the year with Oscar WiFi: just choose the "Hotel Mediterraneo" network and sign in with the social log-in or with your email address.
12What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, cheque, major credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard) and debit cards.
13What kind of deposit is required for confirmation?
If the reservation was made through our website, you are required to give a credit card number and expiration date, by way of a guarantee. No amounts are payable until departure, except in cases of no-show or early departure without justification. We reserve the right to check the validity of your credit card. If there are any errors, missing or invalid data, the reservation is not valid. Alternatively, we require a deposit of 30%, payable by money order or bank transfer.
14Will I get an email confirmation of the reservation?
If the reservation was made through our website, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your stay immediately after completing the reservation process. If the reservation is carried out via wire transfer or money order, we will send an email confirmation only after receipt of the deposit.
15What are your cancellation policies?
You can cancel your reservation without penalty before 14:00 hours on the third day prior to the arrival date, after informing us via fax or email; we will offer you a chance to recover your deposit by booking another stay, including a shorter trip, to be taken before the end of this year. In case of late cancellation or no-show, the deposit will be retained.
16What do you offer for the kids?
Children under 24 months stay free when sharing with 2 adults. We offer a Baby Kit (for a surcharge) with services specially designed for your little ones.
Mums can freely access our baby area with their child every day, to take advantage of the facilities and prepare meals brought from home.

    "Un soggiorno a ****(*) stelle!"

    Sono stata per la prima volta a Sottomarina, pernottando all'hotel Mediterraneo con formula pensione completa. L'hotel è davvero ricercato e curato, il personale sempre cordiale e disponibile.
    La stanza SEA è bellissima e la vista mare è panoramica e affascinante. Il bagno è cieco ma molto spazioso e luminoso. Avete la possibilità di prendere a noleggio gratuitamente le biciclette, con le quali andare in spiaggia o nel centro di Chioggia. La piscina non è compresa nella struttura dell'hotel, ma avrete comunque la possibilità di accedere ad una vasca convenzionata.
